If you are a fan of Steve Aoki, you may have noticed that he is popping up all over the place. The electro house DJ has been putting his agent and management staff to work as he has been taking on more work than the usual EDM DJ.
You may recall the recent blog post reporting on Steve Aoki’s interview with Larry King. Beyond that interview, he has been doing alot of PR work. One of the most publicized movements he has made is the Remix competition for Delirious. The prizes for the Steve Aoki Delirious remix competition includes studio time with Steve Aoki at Dim Mak Studios, your Single executive produced by Steve Aoki and released on Dim Mak Records, opening performance for Steve Aoki, $10,000 Cash, New gear from Pioneer, AVID, Electro-Voice, GoPro and 8DM, a feature in Electronic Musician magazine, distribution and publishing support from TuneCore. Those prizes would make anyone want to enter. Even if you have never produced any form of electronic dance music, you may want to start now. Recently he has teamed up with Red Bull to do a publicity campaign documenting the EDM DJ’s reaction to a flight piloted by Kirby Chambliss.
If you want to see Steve Aoki live and you will be in or around the Miami area on October 25th, you may want to stop by the House of Horror Amusement Park. This event is being presented by Power 96, and it looks like it’s going to be pretty good!
All of this publicity must be promoting something right? Right! Neon Future II will be released in 2015 and Neon Future I was just released September 30th of this year. Considering the marketing behind him seems to be very consistent, I believe his career is going to jump to the next level. 2015 will be the year of the AOKI. Calvin Harris may structure his albums to have a tracklisting full of hits, but I have a feeling that Steve Aoki has something in store for us on this new album.
